Polyglyceryl-4 oleate is an emulsifying ingredient made from polyglycerol and oleic acid.

In Unveil, its main purpose is to allow the oil-based cleanser to emulsify when water is added. This turns the oil into a milky dispersion so that dissolved makeup, sunscreen, sebum and other oil-soluble impurities can be rinsed away more easily.

It also contributes to the cleanser's texture and skin feel.
