Melon seed oil is an incredibly lightweight and fast-absorbing oil with a dry, silky touch. It's naturally rich in antioxidants and fatty acids that improve skin elasticity and moisture. Unlike most natural oils, it has virtually no scent. Melon seed oil is suitable for combination, oily and blemish-prone skin types. As a natural resource, it's one of the most sustainable skincare ingredients.

Derived from the Kalahari melon (Citrullus lanatus), it is a fruit with an interesting history. After a long period of drought in the Kalahari Desert, farmers noticed that wild melons managed to grow despite the harsh environment. The fruit was largely overlooked for hundreds of years despite local tribes using it as a food source and for its healing properties. Scientists began to explore the properties of the hardy plant and quickly found it was bursting with potential.

Kalahari melon seed oil is deeply nourishing and protective for the skin due to its high content of vitamin E. It’s also rich in linoleic acid, which helps to hydrate and moisturise the wall-like structure of the skin barrier, whilst also helping to balance oily skin and control acne.
