We Are Now a Certified B Corporation: A Milestone for Krī Skincare

Krī Skincare has joined a global collective of for-profit companies that use the the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. As of May 2021, Krī Skincare is a certified B Corporation.

This milestone marks a powerful validation of the values we were founded on. Joining the global B Corp movement confirms that our mission—to prove that efficacy over embellishment can be achieved without compromising people or the planet—meets the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

As an independent, female-founded brand, we are especially proud to be an early certified company in the UK beauty sector.

Born From Purpose: The B Corp Lightbulb Moment

From the start, Krī was built with the intention of using business as a force for good. We believe that consumers deserve to know that the products they buy are kind not just to their skin, but to the world.

Our founder, Rupa Wincell, sought an accreditation that could truly validate this ethos:

"Krī Skincare was destined to be a B Corp from its inception. I researched various certification bodies as I wanted to make sure that whatever we said we did was validated. When I found B Corp, it was a lightbulb moment—and made sure that our business was built based on those values."

Achieving B Corp status means we don't just measure profit; we measure our positive impact across five comprehensive areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.

Our Commitment in Action

The B Corp certification is rigorous because it measures our performance across our entire supply chain and operations. This certification formally locks in our promises:

  • To our customers: We are committed to transparency and evidence-based science. This means providing minimalist formulas that reduce the risk of irritation, clearly detailing active ingredients, and ensuring our products deliver tangible, validated benefits.

  • To the environment: We prioritise toxin reduction by excluding ingredients known to contribute to environmental contamination, reducing our impact from sourcing through to product dissipation.

  • To the community: This includes our commitment to diversity, transparent supply chain management, and our charitable efforts. We legally dedicate ourselves to giving back, including our annual donation to the World Land Trust for vital habitat restoration.

We strongly believe that by taking seriously our commitment to the environment, reducing waste, taking care of people, and listening to our customers, we can use our business as a force for good.

Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue to stand by our ethics and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
