What is Brassica Oleracea Italica Seed Oil?

Brassica Oleracea Italica Seed Oil is broccoli seed oil, a plant-derived oil extracted from the seeds of the broccoli plant.

It is naturally rich in unsaturated fatty acids, including erucic acid, oleic acid and linoleic acid. Its particular fatty acid profile gives the oil its distinctive lightweight, silky character.

What does it do for skin?

Broccoli seed oil is primarily used as an emollient and skin-conditioning ingredient. It helps soften and smooth the skin while giving skincare formulas a comfortable, elegant feel.

Its light texture makes it particularly useful in facial oils and serums where a conditioning oil is wanted without a heavy finish.

Why do we use it?

We use broccoli seed oil in our Vitamin C + Bakuchiol Serum as part of the oil-based carrier system.
